PKBS Vs MI :- Arshdeep’s magic defeats Suryakumar’s in a fantastic run-fest

The Punjab Kings’ innings had little momentum. Harpreet Singh Bhatia had batted 15 off of 16 by the end of the first 14 overs, while Sam Curran had batted 8 off of 12. But they took 109 in the subsequent six overs. Final stats for Bhatia were 41 off of 28, Curran 55 off of 29, and Jitesh Sharma 25 off of just seven. Kings now have an impressive 214 for 8.

Rohit Sharma’s 27-ball 44 and Cameron Green’s 43-ball 67 in response helped Mumbai Indians stay in the game. Suryakumar Yadav then posed a challenge to steal the game from Kings with a scorching 50-run inning. At that point, Arshdeep Singh shined. With 16 needed off of six balls, he gave just two runs after dismissing Suryakumar in the 18th over and then broke the middle stumps of Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera with back-to-back deliveries.

Kings went up to a fifth place with eight points after seven games after the 13-run victory. The only thing separating the top five clubs, who all have eight points each, is net run rate.

Ellis and Arshdeep show their skills

Green attacked Kings Impact Player Nathan Ellis for a four and a six to start the 16th over. However, Ellis forced him to miss a slower back-of-the-hand shot, and Curran ducked beneath it close to further cover.

Mumbai was still very much in the race despite it. Suryakumar really gave Mumbai the lead in the 17th over with a six and a four against Curran. Tim David smashed Arshdeep’s first delivery, a full toss, for a six with 40 required from the final three overs, but the bowler only let up three runs off the final five balls. Also struck by one of the balls was Suryakumar. The batsman swung a low full toss towards midwicket, where Atharva Taide sprang to his left to grab the ball.

David continued to make threats to succeed for Mumbai. He failed to center the ball except for hitting an Ellis full toss for a 114-meter six in the last over. He took a single off the first ball of Arshdeep’s last over and then sat at the non-striker’s end for the remainder of the over to observe a death-bowling masterclass.

Punjab Kings 214 for 8 (Curran 55, Bhatia 41, Chawla 2-15) beat Mumbai Indians 210 for 6 (Green 67, Suryakumar 57, Arshdeep 4-29) by 13 runs
